Resources I like, learn and benefit from:
Well… there's much too much to list here, obviously, but I figured this would be a nice title to a list of cool resources that I have benefitted from and/or enjoy.
So here's
A bunch of nifty links:
- Yunohost a fabulous home server software that "just works".
- Ardour a great Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) that works cross platform and is free software.
- Debian my OS of choice. Stable, reliable and friendly.
- System Crafters one of the best resources out there, to get in to Emacs.
- Mastering Emacs being the other.
Some cool tools I use:
While I am familiar with both Windows and Mac, as I've had both systems as my "daily drivers", I much prefer GNU/Linux as it is fully free software and, not least, fully liberating to use.
- For writing:
Emacs - I do all of my writing - at least the initial part - in Emacs. It is a great editor, and a great many other things too… Read about my setup and workflow for efficient writing where wordprocessing doesn't get in the way of creativity here
- For podcasting:
Ardour - For audio, I work in Ardour, a wonderful, fully professionally equipped DAW that runs on both Windows, MacOS and GNU/Linux. I have produced large podcasts, radio commercials and small audio dramas in Ardour, never missing the other DAWs I've tried: Protools and Hindenburg. I will be detailing my Ardour workflow for podcasting here

Documenting stuff I've done
Kept here for posterity and others who might have the same issues:
- How I set up emacs as my mail client for protonmail with mu4e
- How I set Ardour up for podcasting/radio work.
